Coinvest is a decentralized share exchange that allows users to invest in a very simple set of cryptoes. When a user wants to trade, Coinvest Token ("COIN") is sent to the contract along with a list of the sacrificed assets that the user wants to invest. The amount and price of the purchased asset are recorded in USD and when the user wishes to liquidate their ownership, they follow the same sales process with selected assets and their address is returned COIN in USD earned value. This will all be handled through the easy-to-use Coinvest frontend so that anyone can now invest in emergency crypto.

Contract

Coinvest consists of 4 main contracts: 
CoinvestToken.sol, Investment.sol, Bank.sol, and Oracle.sol.

CoinvestToken.sol

CoinvestToken ("COIN") is the default ERC20. This is used as the currency required to make all trades on Investment.sol and is a currency owned by Bank.sol.


Investment.sol
The investment contract is the actual Coinvest meat. Here the user (or, most likely, the Coinvest frontend acting for the user) can invest on a single memorable asset or a fund containing many of the assets that are correlated, liquidate their previous purchase, and check their ownership. All user and trade data is stored in this contract and this is the only contract on a system other than CoinvestToken.sol that can interact with users.


Bank.sol
Contract Bank holds all user funds invested. They are held here so that in case of Investment requires upgrading, user funds are not compromised. Only Investment can transfer funds from the bank and will only be able to do so when the user liquidates the asset. The Coinvest team will never be able to withdraw funds from the Bank.

Oracle.sol
The Oracle contract uses Oraclize to obtain the latest market price data on supported cryptonized assets. Currently get data from cryptocompare.com every 60 seconds and contacts Investment to update the price so that users can invest at the interest rate.

How to use
The most likely scenario where users will interact with this contract is through the Coinvest frontend. In this case, all these steps will be performed without the user having to interact with any smart contract. A user can still interact with the contract if desired. How investment works are as follows:

People must first approve a contract to issue COIN from their account. To do this, the user will call the "approve" function of the Coinvest contract with the Investment contract as a spendor and the amount of COIN you wish to invest as a value.

Once the investment contract is approved to deplete the user COIN, the user will then call the "investment" function on the Investment contract. In this function they will include a list of asset IDs that are sacrificed to be invested, the amount (in the lowest asset denomination) they want to invest in each, and whether they want every trade to be short or not. If an Investment contract can take sufficient payment from the buyer at the current asset price, any investment information (asset ID, starting price, amount purchased) is stored in blockchain and an event is transmitted by listing and asset investment amount.

Users can check their overall portfolio value using the ownership function or they can check individual trades individually by contacting the user mappings with the address and number of the assets they are copying.

To liquidate, users can take the same steps as they would invest. They submit a list of assets they want to liquidate, the amount of each asset, and whether they want to liquidate shorts or buy. The investment contract sells the desired amount of assets, clears ownership of the user portfolio, and sends funds in COIN equivalent to the value of USD assets to the user's address.

Security

Coinvest has placed an extreme emphasis on the security of our users. We have spent a lot of time designing a system that can not be utilized by anyone, including ourselves. We will create a DAO so that users will have control in the future when we have to change the contract, but until then, we will keep the contract structure the same but change all the contract owner to an empty address.

This means no one can change the contract to start - even to upgrade them. We will keep this version of the system secure but not upgraded until we launch our DAO, and at that time we will liquidate all user funds to their address and stop using the original contract. We will then launch the contract again with DAO as the owner so that the public can decide on the upgrade since then. We will never again have to liquidate all user funds and ask them to reinvest after the system is owned by our DAO.
